Working with dating, engaged and married couples in both an individual and group format, we assist to help them develop a better understanding about what to expect from a successful, happy and rewarding relationship.

With over 10 years experience in counselling and marriage and relationship education, we support individuals, couples and families in all their diversity, providing tools to help them build awareness and developing the opportunity to achieve enhanced relationship skills and to recognise that they have the potential to shape and maintain quality and meaningful relationships.

Personal and authentic, we have had the delightful opportunity to witness transformation of individuals and their relationships. We truly enjoy our work.


INDIVIDUAL and RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING


Amanda Smith - Individual and Relationship Counsellor

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) degree from Charles Sturt University and completed a Graduate Diploma in Relationship Counselling at the Institute of Family practice in Sydney.

Amanda has worked in the field of human services since 2007 as a Relationship Educator with Anglicare Sydney where she ran group workshops in relationship education for premarital and married couples and as the Director of PREPARE/ENRICH Australia, where she is the lead trainer of PREPARE/ENRICH facilitators across Australia.

Amanda has worked with many pre-marital and married couples couples in both an individual and group format. Amanda has presented at various National Conferences and speaks regularly to organisations supporting Marriage and Relationship Educators  and couples supporting marriage enrichment. Amanda (with her husband) are the Treasurer and Membership Couple of Better Marriages Australia, a role they have held since 2010.

Shane Smith - Facilitator, Mediator and Relationship Educator

​Relationship, Marriage and Family Educator, trained through the Family Relationships Institute, Melbourne in 2007, Shane has delivered a variety of parenting and relationship education programs focusing on providing individuals, partners and families the opportunity to achieve enhanced relationship skills and to recognise that they have the potential to shape and maintain quality and meaningful relationships.

Shane‘s career experience includes an impressive mixture of many facets of business, tertiary study and complimentary courses to enhance both his personal and career goals. His career has been enhanced with a variety of tertiary qualifications such as a Bachelor of Applied Science (Information Studies), Graduate Certificate in Adult Education and a Masters of Business Administration (Law) and Master of Dispute Resolution. Shane not only possesses strong business acumen but also a genuine interest in relationships in all their diversity and marriage and relationship education.

Shane’s interest in relationship enrichment continues to grow through facilitating workshops for engaged couples and recently commencing working with couples as a PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator. PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator and Marriage Educator for Anglicare between 2009 and 2012 Shanes Prepare-Enrich facilitation is complimented by running group workshops in relationship education for premarital and married couples, in addition to his role as National Coordinator of PREPARE/ENRICH Australia. Shane (with his wife) were also the Treasurer and Membership Couple of Better Marriages Australia, a role they have held between 2010 - 2016. Shane is current the Vice President of the Marriage and Relationship Educators Association of Australia (MAREAA -https://www.mareaa.asn.au/)   

Specifically, Shane can deliver the following courses: ​Making Relationships Work; Talking to Men on Relationships; Marriage Enrichment; Communication Skills; Conflict Resolution; Stress Management; Growing Together and; 123 Magic.
